2019 Awardee: Rev Debra Hopkins

Transfaith has made it possible for so, so many individuals to continue to do the work of changing the negative culture and behavior that resonates within so many of our communities.

It was a delightful moment when I learned that I was among one of the first individuals selected to receive the Minister Bobbie Jean Baker Award. This is truly a dream come true for me.

This award does allow me to continue to address homelessness in my community and be a "Voice for Change." Therefore, with a humble heart, I'd like to express my sincerest gratitude to the board for considering me as the most suitable recipient for this award. It is with a grateful heart that I thank you, Transfaith.

Please support the Minister Bobbie Jean Baker Memorial Fund, so other worthy recipients may have the same opportunity to make a difference in their communities!

Again, Transfaith selection committee, donors, staff. Thank you. I am deeply honored by this recognition and looking forward to continue to make a difference in my community.

Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Rev. Debra J. Hopkins,
Founding Pastor of ⛪Essentials for Life Ministries, Charlotte, NC,
Director of There's Still Hope and Community Activist
